All Things New

As we look back over the past year, we all probably have some things we say we "should of, would of, could of… if only". But the past is now the past and we have been blessed with a new day, a new year, a new future, because God has it in HIS plan for us.
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18-19.
What was your life like last year? Were all of your heart's desires fulfilled? Was it better than the year before? Are there things you wish you could have changed; things you didn't accomplished that you wanted to have done before this new year? Are there things you did that you wish you had not done? As we look back over the past year, we all probably have some things we say we "should of, would of, could of… if only". But the past is now the past and we have been blessed with a new day, a new year, a new future, because God has it in HIS plan for us. He says He will do a NEW thing, and we will know it; He is going to unfold the plan He has for us this year. Don't expect this year to be like last year, that is not God's plan. Look for the great and mighty things that God can do in your life, in the life of your loved ones. Don't miss the blessings, stay alert, stay close to Him, stay in His Word. He has things to say to you and to show you. He has new things He wants you to do as you apply His Word to your life each and every day. Yes, you will still have trials and tribulations, that goes without saying: but you are stronger than you were last year. We grow in grace from year to year as we learn more, as we understand more of the ways of the kingdom of God. As you read and study the Word of God, you will see what you didn't see last year, you will understand what you didn't understand the year before. That's because you have grown to be more like Jesus!
All things new!!! That's what the Father is doing; so be ready to move when He says move; be ready to go where He says go; be ready to speak when He says speak; be ready to do what He says do. We must be totally involved in His new thing, in total obedience to His will. "And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new, And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And He said unto me, It is done. I Am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely, He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." Revelation 21:5-7.

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
