Endure to the End

By Barbara J. Scott
We can't afford to allow our way to become clouded by the things of this world, we have got to have clear vision and that vision must have Jesus in sight at all times. He is the One Who makes the way for us to keep going. So, if it is a cracked windshield, a blown out tire, layoff from your job, bills piling up, seemingly unanswered prayers, what do you do?
Endure to the End

In this race called life, we find that we have to keep going if we are going to finish the race. We can't let our circumstances prevent us from "pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus".  Life happens, it is inevitable; that's why Jesus said, "In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33b). You just can't see your way through, who do you go to, to straighten things out?  Where do you go? Things are getting pretty cloudy and you can't see clearly.  If you can't see where you are going, how can you lead someone else?  Is God hearing you?  "Lord, strengthen my faith!"  Go to your Pit Stop; your team is standing right there; the Holy Ghost has everything you need!!!  Listen to Him and do what He says.  He is going to direct you back into the race.

Sometimes God allows us to be tested to see if we are going to drop out of the race or keep on going.  There is no time to wallow around in self-pity.  No racecar driver gets out of his car and stands around on the race track crying because he busted his tire or has a cracked windshield.  Instead, he makes haste and gets to the pit stop.  He knows where his help comes from.  You don't have to be the first one to cross the finish line, but you do have to get there and cross it, and there is help along the way.  "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."  Hebrews 12:1-2. Don't bypass your pit stop, your team is there to help you endure to the end!!!
