His Name Is, Wonderful

Jesus is marvelous, He is whatever His Name says. He is "marvelous in all His works, and that my soul knows right well". We loosely use these words to describe people we are impressed with and really, no one is all that. We can only be speaking the truth when we say those things about Jesus, because that is who He is.
"His Name is Wonderful, His Name is, Wonderful, His Name is, Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.
He is the Mighty King, Master of everything, His Name is, Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.
He's the Great Shepherd, the Rock of All Ages, Almighty God is He.
Bow down before Him, Love and adore, His Name is Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord."

We loosely use these words to describe people we are impressed with and really, no one is all that. We can only be speaking the truth when we say those things about Jesus, because that is who He is. He is "awesome in all His ways and His ways are past finding out." He is incredible, there are really no words to fitly describe His greatness, His wonderfulness, His might, His power. And it is when we celebrate these special days, that we remember just Who Jesus is. After the celebration is over, we go back to our everyday lives, many not even giving Him a second thought. How can we do that to our Great God and King?! We sit in worship services and the pastor has to encourage the people to" give God praise, raise your hands and worship Him, thank Him for your blessings". The God Who gives us life and breath each and every day, and someone has to TELL us to thank Him? To give Him praise? Imagine how He must feel about us who say we love Him! This is Jesus, our Wonderful Savior and He loves us above all that He has created.
We say we love Him, but do we really? Jesus had a reason for asking Peter three times do you love Me. Do we love Him above all persons, places and things in this world? Have we really given our all to our Savior, or just on special days? Jesus gave His all for us, His very life; that's what makes Him so Wonderful. And now, let us play it forward and make a new commitment to Jesus our Wonderful Savior, giving Him our all, every day. "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every Name: That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11.

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
