"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:23-24.
We all have some kind of mountain in our life. But did you know that you can speak to whatever kind of mountain it may be, and if you have faith to believe that what you say will come to pass, it will happen? That's what Jesus told His disciples, and He never told a lie. After He had cursed the fig tree for not having fruit on it, it withered away, and the disciples were amazed that it happened. But Jesus told them they can do the same thing if they have faith to believe what they say. So many times, we say we want something, we pray about it, and then we don't really believe that it will come to pass. We can't pray and expect God to grant what we ask if we don't believe that He will do it. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
I remember a story I heard years ago, about a woman who wanted to test God on this mountain-moving faith. So, she had a tree in her yard that she wanted removed. She spoke to the tree and told it to be removed from her yard by the next morning. The next morning, she ran to her window to see if the tree was still there; and it was still there. She remarked, "I knew it!" Now what does that tell you? When she spoke to the tree, she didn't expect for it to be removed in the morning. She said that she knew it would still be there. She spoke with no faith to believe! When Jesus spoke to that fig tree, He didn't expect for it to be still alive when He returned
Alright, what mountains do you need to be removed from your life? A broken marriage to be restored? A job with better benefits? You need a job? You want to see your children saved? Your health to be restored? Reconciliation in a relationship? What is it you need God to do that is a looming mountain in your life? Our words are life and when we speak them with faith, believing and trusting God to work it out. That is unlimited power! Go to the Word of God, find the Scripture that applies to your mountain, speak the Word of God over your mountain and decree and declare that it is removed. Jesus said when you pray, believe that you already have what you are asking. That is faith in action. No mountain is to high, to wide, or too deep that Jesus cannot move! Speak to your mountain!
