Those of you who know anything about have house plants probably know what it means for a plant to be "pot-bound". You may have a plant that you started from a tiny shoot or from another plant. In tine that plant starts to grow and becomes too large for the small pot that it is in. The roots of that plant have grown very long and have to curl up in a tight mass because they have no room to grow...
Have you ever wanted to quit everything in this life? Quit your family and all relationships, quit your job, even quit being spiritual and serving the Lord; quit being who you are? And then you had a talk with God Almighty, your loving Father. And you discovered that there really was no reason to want to quit.
Consecration is the only way we can live a victorious life in this world. God offers us salvation and baptism in the Holy Ghost, but "consecration" means we offer ourselves back to God. Holiness comes after salvation. God commands us to be holy because He is holy. (1 Peter 1:16). Everything we have and are belongs to God and He is waiting for us to offer it back to Him.
The thoughts that we think in our minds become the words that we speak out of our mouths. When we have our minds filled up with Word of God, that will be uppermost in the words that come out of our mouths. Our words are alive, they can change things, people, situations, circumstances, and the atmosphere around us. If you want a good change, think good thoughts and then words that build up and edify will come out of your mouth.
We must remember that even though we may not be a prophet, we are constantly speaking into the lives of others. Are we speaking life bearing fruit; fruit that will remain; or are we speaking corrupt fruit that brings death and destruction? Pray that we be real for Jesus in every area of our lives, so that we can bear good fruit, producing souls for the kingdom.
When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.
In this day and time men need encouragement like neve before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
Do you ever wonder why you see so many more women in the church than you see men? Even married women are there without their husbands. Jesus came to earth as a male child and the devil hates men more than anything. He does everything he can to destroy the male seed born into this world. Look at our prisons, the crack houses, the bars; there you see mostly men and our male youths.
Have you experienced the Lord Jesus Christ in the truth of Who He is? He is all this and much more, and we can have the blessed assurance that Who He is, is what He does; and He is ours. Jesus said we can ask the Father for anything in His Name and the Father will give it to us.
Jesus taught that we must love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind. (Matthew 22:37). When we love Him with our total being, we will have no problem worshiping Him. God is a jealous God and He will not stand for us to worship anyone or anything other than He.
