When Jesus walked the earth the people wanted to know just Who He was. Some knew Him to be Joseph's Son, the carpenter. Other's knew Him to be Mary's Son out of wedlock, so they thought. Some knew Him to be a good Teacher. Other's who saw His miracles knew Him to be a Miracle Worker. But Who is He really? God has many Names, and Jesus is just one of them. Whatever God's Name is, that is Who He is and what He does. His Names are His attributes. He can be in your life Whoever you need Him to be. A refuge in time of trouble, a strong tower when you need a fortress; a healer when you are sick in your body; a light when your way is dark and you cannot see; Who is He in your life? Jesus is a Way-maker, He can make a way out of no way. He is certainly a Miracle worker, He does what no other one can do. Jesus always keeps His promises; He never fails, what He says He will do, He always does just that, we can trust Him. Jesus is our Savior and the Lover and Bishop of our souls. He loves us unconditionally. His Name means, Savior, and He saves us in all kinds of situations and circumstances. We can call upon His Name and know that He will hear and answer us, day or night. He is awesome in all His ways and His ways are past finding out. We can't figure Him out; we can't know what He is thinking and what He will do. He says, His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. There is no way our finite minds can match His infinite mind. He is Jehovah God, King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Great I Am that I Am.
One day Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." "But what about you?" He asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven." Matthew 16:13-17 NIV. Who do you say that Jesus is?
