"And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13.
Some many people pride themselves on be able to give great speeches and sound important. God is not impressed by our eloquent speech and big words, so that we are able to draw a crowd. Those things do not move Him. Paul said, "I came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God." (I Corinthians 2:1). God is moved by the heart that feels the burdens of this world and brings them to the altar. When we see the news and can pray and intercede for those in need, that is what moves Him. A selfless heart, a heart that is turned toward Him, a heart that seeks Him completely. He wants us to give our whole heart to Him, trusting Him without a shadow of doubt. God wants us to turn everything totally over to Him; He said according to your faith be it unto you. God wants to bless us more than we can imagine. He said we shall receive, if we ask trusting and believing that He will do what we ask. Seeking Him with the whole heart, nothing wavering, that is what moves the heart of God. We have to be expectant, knowing that He will. Our confidence in prayer is not based on our ability to speak, it is based on His ability to hear and understand what we are asking. He has great plans for us and we must expect Him to do great things for us. We limit God, forgetting that there is nothing He cannot do. God is the solution to our every problem; He has no problems. We can cast our burdens on Him and know that He knows just what to do with them. He has our back, He will not leave us alone. He wants us to give our total lives to Him; our children, our finances, our marriage, our jobs, every sickness, whatever we are carrying as a heavy burden. We cannot carry these loads. Jesus said, Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for my yoke is easy and My burden is light." Why should we even want to try to work it out on our own, knowing that we have a God Who never fails? He is our Mighty Fortress, a Way Maker, our Healer, our Peace; let Him be Who He is, in your life. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and let Him direct your path. Follow His lead, He gives us each day to give it back to Him. He is more than able to undertake and intervene on our behalf. God is a very present help in time of trouble; He is right here with us and will be with us every step of the way, if we trust Him. He wants to give us His peace in every situation. Think about who He says He is: He is our Shepherd, the Bread of Life, the Fount of Living Water, The Bright and Morning Star, our Light in the darkness, the Lifter up of our head, the Way the Truth and the Life, and more besides. Who wouldn't want to serve and trust a God like that? Who is He in your life? Is He everything you need? Most of all, is He first in your life? When we put Him first we will have no problem giving it all to Jesus, everything in our lives; knowing that God can and God will.
