Happy Birthday, Jesus!

By Barbara J. Scott
We celebrate birthdays all year long, making a big fuss over the birthday person, whether it is a family member, a friend, or even someone in the history of our Country. Yes, birthdays are special and we enjoy celebrating. Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His is the greatest of all birthdays.
Happy Birthday, Jesus!

"Joy to the world the Lord has come! Let earth receive her King!"

It's not about Santa Claus and the hustle and bustle of buying and giving and receiving gifts.  We have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Our Savior was born, we don't know exactly what day, but it was around the time that we celebrate.  The true date doesn't matter, the fact is He came, lived, suffered, shed His Blood, died and rose again, just for you and me.  And on Christmas we say, "Thank You, Father, for sending your only begotten Son; and we thank You, Jesus, for being willing to come, humbly as a little Baby. There is no greater love!!!

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Might God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6-7.

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord."  Luke 2:11.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS!

WE LOVE YOU!
