Do you ever wonder why you see so many more women in the church than you see men? Even married women are there without their husbands. Jesus came to earth as a male child and the devil hates men more than anything. He does everything he can to destroy the male seed born into this world. Look at our prisons, the crack houses, the bars; there you see mostly men and our male youths.
Yes, there are women and young girls caught up in these vices of Satan, but God has a special calling on the male. In the Garden of Eden, Adam was the first who God created, and He gave Adam dominion over all the earth, over every living thing. What happened to man and the authority God gave him? Sin! (Read Genesis 1:26-3:1-24.)
God, being a just and holy God, made a way for men to get back to Him through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. That's it, men! The Second Adam, Jesus Christ, has come to redeem you, the first Adam. Now you have access to take your rightful place in this earth and be the men that Jesus died to make you. God is calling for you first of all in your homes, in the church, on your jobs, in our government; our children need you in their schools. "According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In who we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him. That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." Ephesians 3:11-2 & 16-19.
We are living in very evil times, I'm sure you can all see and understand. God wants to use you men to be His instruments in this world; you, to be His hands and feet, His voice speaking His Word: men who will stand up and be counted for the cause of Jesus Christ; men who will get down on their knees and pray down the power of God. Are you willing? Make that commitment to Jesus, first of all, receiving Him as your Lord and Savior, if you haven't done so already. "Now therefore fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and in faithfulness." Put away your sins, "and serve the LORD. …choose this day whom you will serve." Let your war cry be, "But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (See Joshua 24:14-15). This is God's promise to you, "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9. Let all men, young and old, take back the authority that God has given you, and pray without ceasing!

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
