We wonder why the apostolic miracles are not present in our congregations today as in the days of old. We don't see the lame coming in and laying down their crutches and walkers and getting out of wheelchairs. Why is that? What is the difference in our churches today?
We wonder why the apostolic miracles are not present in our congregations today as in the days of old. We don't see the lame coming in and laying down their crutches and walkers and getting out of wheelchairs. Why is that? What is the difference in our churches today? Jesus said, "According to your faith be it unto you." According to your faith, according to how much faith you release into the atmosphere, - "be it unto you." We have to trust God with every nerve, every atom of our being. We say we do but God knows that we don't: we stand on the shore casting out a fishing rod, when God wants us to cast off from the shore, launch out into the deep, let down our nets and bring in the miracle blessings we are praying for. The problem certainly is not God doing His part; He is still performing miracles today. The problem is the Church's weak faith. Faith doesn't need to "see", to believe; faith sees because it believes. Matthew 9:28-30.
Jesus prayed for the Father to glorify Him that He may glorify the Father. (John 17:1). And when that glory fills the temple, the sanctuary; fills our bodies which are the temple of the Holy Ghost; our faith is released into that glorious atmosphere, then the miraculous power of God is manifested, and bodies are healed, souls are delivered and captives are set free. Faith like a mustard see – small but strong, grows into a big tree and is able to be a home and shelter for many birds. Jesus did not perform all of His miracles the same way. We argue and give up when we don't see what we expect to see and how we expect to see it. Trust God's Word. We have to go deeper in our faith; know that Jesus is Who He says He is. He made the sea, He made the fish and put them in the sea, and He knows just where He put them. So, launch out into the deep, let down your net and expect to see the manifestation of the glory of the Lord. "Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. ..Nevertheless at Thy word I will let down the net." Luke 5:4 & 5b.

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
