The Kingdom of God, Here and Now

All of us have prayers on the altar that we are expecting God to answer.  We're seeking Him, calling on Him, petitioning Him day after day, and we find that things seem worse than when we started. Things are breaking down, falling apart, going to pieces, and we wonder why, what in the world is happening?!!!  But God requires something of us.  We read it in Matthew 6:33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Jesus said that if we ask anything in His Name, it shall be done for us by His Father in heaven.  But He also said, "You do what I want you to do first.  You be obedient to My assignment for you, then I will give you what you want.  You give Me what I want, first, then I will give you the desires of your heart.  When your purpose line up with My purpose for your life, then I will bless you with abundant blessings."  God has equipped us with the tools we need to fulfill His plan and purpose in His Kingdom; and if we do nothing, we are saying to God, "You haven't given me anything to work with."  So, we make Him a liar, because He said, "You shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto Me…"  Jesus said He has given us power over all the powers of the enemy.  His Word says, "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."  Do you realize that we do not quote the last part of that Scripture; because there is no period until we get to the last part.  In other words, we need to practice what we preach.  When we become doers of the Word that we preach, - when we are obedient to the will of God for our lives; then we can expect God to move on our behalf, and touch those souls that we are praying for. "The Lord gave the Word; great was the company of those that published it."  We are all members of God's publishing company.  A publishing company publishes and distributes the word.

The Holy Ghost breathed the Seed of the Word of God into the womb of the virgin Mary.  The Word grew inside of her and in the fullness of time, the Word came forth and began to contaminate all who were willing to get close to Him, the Man Jesus Christ, in the flesh.  He walked this earth, giving of Himself to everyone who would believe and receive Him.  Jesus was full of the Father, He was filled up with God and He said whoever receives Him, receives Him Who sent Him.  He came to glorify His Father and to bring mankind back to God.  He said, "The words that I speak, I speak not of Myself but I speak the words that My Father tell Me to speak."  When we speak, we are not speaking our own words, we are speaking the words that the Father has given.  When we, like Mary, become impregnated with the Word of God, in the fullness of time that Word has to come forth.  In order to become impregnated, we have to have a very intimate relationship with Jesus; day and night, reading and studying Him, the Word of God: spending time talking to Him and listening to Him.  The more we spend time with the Word, the bigger He will become in us; until we won't be able to contain Him.  We will be like Jeremiah: "It's like fire shut up in my bones. I can't keep it in any longer; I've got to get it out, I've got to share it, show it, publish it, distribute it: tell it everywhere I go!!!"  And many who are walking in darkness will see the light of the Word in our lives and want to embrace it.

Every mother who brings forth a baby into this world is already equipped to nourish that baby with breast milk, so that it can feed and grow.  She has been equipped to nurture and love that baby with the love of God that He has put in her heart.  God has given her the wisdom she needs to train up that child to follow ways of the Kingdom.  But, if she lets her milk dry up (and it will dry up if you don't use it): and if she doesn't keep eating the right foods; feeding on the Word of God, herself, that mother will have nothing to give out.  Her body will become depleted and incapable of nourishing anyone.  We are the Body of Christ, the Church, and God has equipped us with the tools we need to feed the world His Kingdom.  His Kingdom is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost!! (See Romans 14:17).  We have Jesus our Savior on the inside, we have the Holy Ghost to empower us, guide and direct us, and to bring back to our remembrance the things Jesus has spoken to us; so that we can give it out to others.  But if we don't use what we have, it will dry up inside of us and we will not have done what Jesus has commissioned us to do: to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all nations, teaching them to observe all things that He has commanded us. (See Matthew 28:18-20).  The Church needs to get back to doing the first works, which is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that souls will be brought into the Kingdom of God.  Win the lost at any cost, - and there is a cost!  We must be willing to take up our cross daily and follow Jesus.  Crucify and get rid of self, - die daily, so that others might live.  We are to teach that Jesus Christ came into this world as a male child, lived, suffered, died for the sin of all mankind, was buried and rose again.  That is the Gospel in a nutshell!  And because of this, everyone, regardless of race, color or creed now have the opportunity to become a part of the Kingdom of God, right here on earth and eternally in heaven.

The Kingdom of God is Jesus.  He is our righteousness, He is our peace, He is our joy.  We love Him because He first loved us!!  He came to give us abundant life right here on earth.  He came to bring the order of His Father on earth as it is in heaven.  We pray it all the time, "Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven".  That is the main Kingdom Principal; that is the order of God.  Just as the angels in heaven are obeying the will of the Father, so shall it be here on earth.  And those of us who in this life, follow the will of God, will enjoy all the promises He has made to those who obey His will, to those who love and follow Him.  That's the Kingdom of God, here and now.
