The Word Made Flesh

When Jesus entered into the world He entered as the Word of God. That is why He kept saying, "The words I speak, I'm not speaking on My Own, I speak whatever the Father tells Me to speak." (John 7:16 & John 12:49). Jesus is still speaking in these last days and we must heed what He is saying. In days past God spoke to man through His prophets, but now He is speaking through His Son, Jesus.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:1-3; & 14.
The Word of says that when God created the world, Jesus was right there with Him. When He said, "Let us make man in Our image", Jesus was right there with Him. Genesis 1:26. God has always existed in Three Persons, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. As you read and study the Word of God (the Bible) you will see all Three Persons of the Trinity working at different times. The Gospel of John says that nothing was made without Jesus. When God created, He SPOKE everything into existence: He said, "Let there be" and it was. As He SPOKE, that was Jesus creating things into existence. "So God created man in His Own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them." Genesis 1:27. (The Word is speaking to someone right here.)
We have Jesus' example as He walked this earth and we have the written Word, the Bible. "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His Person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" Hebrews 1:2-3.
Jesus, our Creator came in the flesh, lived, suffered, bled and died; then rose again. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, praying for us. (Romans 8:34). There is power in His Words when He speaks them and power in His Words when we speak them. There is power in our own words when we speak them, so be careful what you let out of your mouth. Speaking Jesus' Words will always bring encouragement and hope. Jesus lives within us and He speaks through us; so open your mouth and let Him fill it with Himself. You will be surprised what a difference we will make in the lives of others when we do. "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12. (Jesus the Word, knows everything.)

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.

When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.

In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
