We are called the "Microwave Generation" and that rightly so. We want everything done in a hurry. Now, even the microwave isn't fast enough. We are so impatient when we find we have to wait. We even try to hurry God, not realizing He has His own timetable, His own schedule and it can't be rushed. Sometimes we have to accept the fact that He may put us on "Hold". And when He does, we must watch what we say; be careful what we speak out of our mouths. Just as that small rudder on a big ship can move that ship in different directions, our tongues, though they be small, can move things, situations, circumstances in either negative or positive directions. We must not allow the enemy of our souls to fill our minds with all kinds of negative things so that we don't trust God and His Word. Our mind is a garden and the seeds we plant and allow others to plant in our minds is what we will reap. If we are constantly thinking negative thoughts because things are not working out the way we expect them to, or as fast as we think they should, then we shouldn't expect more than what we believe. Jesus said, "According to your faith, be it unto you." What we think is what we speak out of our mouths, and that's what we put into the atmosphere; because our words are life, they are alive and will produce what we say. When we are going through trials and tribulations in our lives, problems in our home with children, spouses, problems on the job, money running out before the month: whatever the case may be, we cannot, I repeat, we cannot allow our emotions to get the best of us. We cannot allow our mouths to speak according to what we see. Our expectation is from God, and He is working all the time on our behalf, for our good and for His glory. He always has a plan and a purpose for everything He does in our lives and everything He allows to happen in our lives. What is He teaching you while you are on "hold"? How about love and forgiveness? Is there some relationship you need to get right? Well, guess what! God is patiently waiting for you to do your part, then He will do His part. We have to be in the place of blessing in order to receive the blessings from God. As we wait patiently, without complaining, only trusting that God is faithful and always keeps His promises, we will begin to see the manifestation of our breakthrough. Praise Him in the "waiting room", He lives in our praises! And always be, "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer." Romans 12:12.

I was in a church service one time when there was a "prophet" praying for the people. After a time, he called for an offering and had his mind totally on the offering instead of the people coming for prayer. One man went for prayer while the offering was being taken and the "prophet" told the man to come back to another service and then he would pray for him.
When we focus on money and things – possessions, we put them before God and forget about Him. Jesus said it is hard for a rich man to enter into heaven. Why is this so? Because he feels he has all he needs and doesn't need God, the One who has the whole world in His hands. A rich man depends on his riches and possessions to gain whatever happiness he needs in life: not realizing that the mammon is temporal and will pass away.
In this day and time men need encouragement like never before. They need to know that they are loved and very much need in this world. They also need Godly wisdom and understanding of the ways of the kingdom of God. Jesus is our supreme example in how to live as holy men of God. He prayed often to the Father, putting His earthly life completely in God's hands.
