Jesus, our Creator came in the flesh, lived, suffered, bled and died; then rose again. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, praying for us. (Romans 8:34). There is power in His Words when He speaks them and power in His Words when we speak them. There is power in our own words when we speak them, so be careful what you let out of your mouth.
Jesus is marvelous, He is whatever His Name says. He is "marvelous in all His works, and that my soul knows right well". We loosely use these words to describe people we are impressed with and really, no one is all that. We can only be speaking the truth when we say those things about Jesus, because that is who He is.
When Jesus walked the earth the people wanted to know just Who He was. Some knew Him to be Joseph's Son, the carpenter. Other's knew Him to be Mary's Son out of wedlock, so they thought. Some knew Him to be a good Teacher. Other's who saw His miracles knew Him to be a Miracle Worker. But Who is He really?
Christmas isn't over until God says it's over. Who would have thought that a Baby in a manger cradle would make such an impact on the world. And yet, Baby Jesus did just that. God Almighty stepped down from His glory and into the flesh of mankind to deliver us from the slavery of sin. What great love!
If only the world would turn to Jesus and receive the finished work on Calvary, what a change it would be in each of our lives. The Word of God says that Jesus is our Light and our Salvation and that we don't have to fear anyone or anything; He is the strength of our life.
Many people, especially some Christians feel that the Christmas decorations are worldly and insignificant. But if you listen to the Holy Spirit and let Him teach you about the decorations, you will learn that they are very significant to the birth of Jesus and why He came to earth.
As parents, we make plans for our children, we have dreams and aspirations of what we want them to become in life; how we want them to prosper and contribute to the good in this world. But it doesn't always come out that way. The Bible says that man makes plans but God is the One Who carries them out.
What was your life like last year? Were all of your heart's desires fulfilled? Was it better than the year before? Are there things you wish you could have changed; things you didn't accomplished that you wanted to have done before this new year? Are there things you did that you wish you had not done?
We celebrate birthdays all year long, making a big fuss over the birthday person, whether it is a family member, a friend, or even someone in the history of our Country. Yes, birthdays are special and we enjoy celebrating. Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His is the greatest of all birthdays.
In spite of the fact that we all have sinned, He still loves us: and we still sin, every day; by thought, word, look, deed, or feeling. We are not perfect, therefore we never live a day without sinning against our Father. We may not even realize that we have sinned; but He remembers that we are "dust"; and He "pities us"; because we are His children.
